If you ask everyone around the Jets organization, it seems the Jets quarterback job is Geno Smith’s to lose. After offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg and Michael Vick co-signed Smith as the starter, Rex Ryan did the same thing on Thursday.
Ryan told Mike Francesa on WFAN that it’s going to be tough for Vick to unseat Smith as the starter.

Ryan added that Vick “definitely” has a chance to win the job during the preseason. It sounds like the Jets are hopefully the competition will help Smith keep his job, but they’ll be fine as well if Vick takes the job.
