The Pittsburgh Steelers rebuilt their core of linebackers after finishing outside of the top-10 in defense for the first time in decades.
After drafting Javis Jones and Ryan Shazier in the past two NFL Drafts, opposing quarterbacks now have a reason to fear the Steelers once vaunted pass rush.
Even star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has noticed a difference in how the Steelers defenders are moving around on the practice field. Big Ben told KDKA-FM in Pittsburgh on Monday morning that this defense is as fast as any he has seen in Pittsburgh.
“I thought it was a really good camp. This is as fast of a defense I have seen since I have been here,” Roethlisberger said. “Offensively, I thought the O-line played great and Justin Brown had a great camp.”
