The New York Jets acquired Chris Johnson after he was released by the Tennessee Titans and they’ve gone out their way to pull out the welcome mat for inspired running back.
All of the Jets brass have had wonderful things to say about Johnson and offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg provided the most flattering compliment thus far.
Mornhinweg told the media that he believes Johnson is a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
“He’s a first-ballot Hall of Famer,” Marty Mornhinweg said.
Johnson has done some great things in the NFL, but it’s hard to imagine him being named to the Hall of Fame, much less being first-ballot.
The man known as CJ2K has 7,965 career rushing yards, 50 touchdowns on 1, 742 carries. Johnson rushed for 1,077 yards on 279 carries and six touchdowns last season.
