The “bite seen round the world” will cost Uruguayan forward, Luis Suarez nine international matches in addition to missing the next four months of any professional FIFA play, after his appeal of the original suspension was denied. FIFA’s official twitter handle broke the news this morning.
BREAKING: Appeals of Luis Suarez & #URU FA rejected by FIFA Appeal Committee. Decision of 25 June 2014 upheld – http://t.co/cJLyV5Nlkx

If Suarez hopes to reduce the terms of his suspension he must appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, however, with the suspension already being upheld once; it is hard to fathom any reason the higher courts would overturn the decision.
FIFA’s decision may also affect Suarez’s contract negotiations, as he’s currently in talks with Barcelona to join their talented club. The signing could be delayed until Friday, or beyond; depending on further clarification on his current ban.
The fact that an athlete has an issue with biting people is alarming. He should just take his suspension and use the off time for a self-evaluation, because to be honest it’s really disgusting and weird.
