Real Madrid to Purchase World Cup Star James Rodriguez for $108 Million

Real Madrid will announce Tuesday the acquisition of World Cup breakout Star James Rodriguez after the Spanish powerhouse came to terms with Rodriguez’ Monaco squad on an €80 million ($108 million) transfer fee according to ESPN FC.

The Colombian, who finished as the top scorer at the 2014 World Cup with six goals in five games, is set to finalise his move to the Bernabeu next week for a reported fee of 80 million euros, which could be offset by the inclusion of a Madrid player, potentially goalkeeper Diego Lopez.

Adding the fast-rising star will give Real Madrid even more star-power and could propel them past Barcelona and Atletitoc Madrid in the La Liga race. While the price-tag for the 23-year old may be a bit hefty, it’s tough to pass on a player who can do things like this out on the pitch.
