With NBA free agency in full swing, more and more reports are starting to circulate about who teams are primarily targeting with their cap space. One team looking to make a splash on the market is the rebuilding Boston Celtics.
However, according to Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders, the Celts are pursuing a player in a position they seem to be all set at, the point guard. Boston has made Kings restricted free agent Isaiah Thomas their first priority in free agency.
The Boston Celtics were first team to call restricted free agent Isaiah Thomas when free agency started, per source. Danny Ainge called.

This is an interesting move on Boston’s part. With Rajon Rondo and newly-drafted Marcus Smart already in the fold, this could signal the end of Rondo’s time in Beantown.
