One interesting tidbit from the first few days of free agency is the emergence of the Oklahoma City Thunder as the leader in the Pau Gasol sweepstakes.
While the Thunder are limited in how much they can offer Gasol due to cap space, they have a trade exception that could be included in a sign-and-trade to bring the Spaniard to OKC. Regardless of how they get it done, the Thunder are sending their big guns to bring in Gasol. ESPN’s Marc Stein is reporting that earlier today OKC stars Kevin Durant & Russell Westbrook met with Gasol in Los Angeles to persuade the big man to join them in the Oklahoma City.

Gasol would be a great addition for a Thunder team that looks to be one piece away from a title. It will be interesting to see what Gasol does with rumors of plenty of teams being interested in acquiring the big man.
