Dodgers outfielders Matt Kemp and Yasiel Puig engaged in a heated exchange of words during Monday night’s game against the Rockies.
In the sixth inning, Kemp went back to the dugout after striking out and was seen heading in Puig’s direction and yelling at him before Dodgers manager Don Mattingly stepped between them.
Kemp turned around and walked toward the clubhouse after the argument. The Dodgers scored eight runs in the sixth to break open the game before winning 11-3.
Neither player would say what the argument was about. Dodgers’ Manager Don Mattingly chalked it up to family business and even went as far as comparing his team to the 1972 Oakland A’s who were known for their heated altercations.
