Team USA came out the gate on Tuesday rested and at full strength. Team USA jumped out to a 27-15 lead and closed out the first half up 57-35. For the second straight game it was the Anthony Davis and Kenneth Faried show. Anthony Davis led all scorers with 21 points off 7 for 13 shooting and 9 rebounds while the Manimal Faried, had 15 points on 7 of 9 shooting while leading all rebounders with 11. In our Derrick Rose watch, the returning Chicago Bulls star point guard had yet another poor shooting game going 1 for 6 with 3 points. Really has been a mediocre World Cup run so far for Rose. This was a different team than we saw two days prior vs Turkey as the urgency seemed there from the beginning. Team USA forced New Zealand into 22 turnovers while committing 16 of their own. Team USA also had 14 steals while New Zealand only had 3. Team USA will be back in action tomorrow facing the Dominican Republic, September 3rd, 2014 (21:30 GMT+2)
