There was no shortage of drama inside the top 10 on the college football scene this weekend. Lets get to it!
Who’s In?
- Florida State
The Noles seemed to be on the ropes early after taking it on the chin early on the road against NC State. That was until Florida State remembered who they were and mashed on the gas and almost put up 60. When this team is in sync, they are as good as any team in the land.
- Oregon
The Ducks are coming off a bye and will host the Arizona Wildcats at Autzen Stadium on Thursday night. If you recall Arizona knocked off Oregon last year down in the desert and dashed their hopes of making it into the national title game.
- Alabama
Nick Saban’s bunch was also on bye this weekend. They roll into Oxford to take on the Rebels of Ole Miss this weekend in a SEC showdown.
- Oklahoma
The Sooners took this past week to get rested up before heading to Ft. Worth to take on the Horned Frogs.
Who’s Out?
- Texas A&M
The Aggies are coming off a thrilling overtime victory in Jerry World over Arkansas and are on the brink of making my top 4. Kevin Sumlin’s crew keeps finding ways to win.
- Baylor
Baylor is another team who I think is on the cusp of the top 4, a showdown later in the year with Oklahoma could decide the Big 12.
- Auburn
The Tigers handled Louisiana Tech over the weekend, but the schedule only gets tougher from here on out for the Tigers. Six of the remaining eight opponents are currently ranked in the top 25.
