The Cleveland Browns released their starting fullback Ray Agnew on Monday.Agnew started Sunday’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, and played a total of 18 snaps. The Browns struggled to run the ball Sunday against the Jaguars and I guess they felt the need to switch things up. The offensive line is down pro bowl center Alex Mack for the season, which might have contributed to the down rushing stats for Sunday.
To replace Agnew, the Browns called up rookie fullback Kiero Small, who was a seventh-round pick of Seattle in May. The Browns added Small (5-8, 244) to their practice squad before the start of the season. The 23-year-old Small played collegiately at Arkansas.
