Ricky Rozay is really trying to enhance his portfolio.
During a recent interview with Angie Martinez of Power 105.1 in New York, the MMG head admitted that he has always had an interest in owning 20% of his hometown Miami Dolphins.
Ross even revealed that he finally was able to land a meeting with Stephen Ross and company.
“I went and sat down with the Miami Dolphins, we discussed a few things,” the rapper said. “They finally invited me into the office and I sat with some people. It was a real positive conversation.”
“They ultimately decide if the time is now,” Rick Ross said. “I would bring nothing but positive energy.”
I respect Ross for trying to branch out and add to his ever growing list of ventures, but I believe the NFL dream is unlikely to ever develop for the controversial rapper.
The NFL is in the midst of an image crisis, and would not benefit from having a guy whose controversial date-rape line cost him a major ad campaign.
UPDATE-
The Miami Herald is reporting that Dolphins are denying Ross’ claims that he actually met with Dolphins brass about a stake in the organization.
Sorry, Rick Ross fans. Dolphins spokesman denies Ross' claims from his NYC radio appearance. Doesn't look like he'll be a celebrity owner.
