Austin Hatch’s story is pretty incredible. He is now a member of the Michigan basketball team, but it’s been a long and trying road to Ann Arbor. Hatch is actually the survivor of not one, but two, plane crashes in his lifetime.
The first crash took place when he was only 8-years old, but sadly, Hatch lost his mother and his two siblings to the accident. Fast forward to age 16, and Hatch is a victim of another plane crash. There is more tragedy for Hatch as he loses he father and his stepmother to this crash. He was also left in a coma, but Hatch survived and is now playing and scoring points of the Michigan Wolverines basketball team.
Check out Hatch as he scores his first points at Michigan on a free throw.
