RG3 is not a having a good year and a 27-7 lost do not make matters better. RG3 tossed two interceptions that prompt the crowd to chant for Colt McCoy and the media putting RG3 on the hook for his performance on the field. RG3 was not happy from the anonymous reports of him calling teammates out on Sunday.
“It’s unfortunate that anyone would take a piece of my press conference & say I threw my teammates under the bus,” Griffin said on Twitter. “These men are my family.”
“I would never throw my teammates under the bus! I take responsibility for my play & will play better.”
“It takes 11 men. It doesn’t take one guy. That’s proven. The great QBs — the Peytons and Aaron Rodgers. They don’t play well if their guys don’t play well. They don’t. We need everybody. I need every one of those guys in that locker room. And I know they’re looking at me saying the same thing.”
While most of RG3 8 minute presser was mostly about him having to play better he definitely threw a jab at the media about his relationship with his teammates. Coach Gruden just wants RG3 to worry about himself and his play on the field.
“Robert needs to worry about himself,” Gruden told reporters on Monday. “It’s my job to worry about everybody else. . . . It’s not his place. His place is to talk about himself, and he knows that. He just elaborated a little bit too much.”
Hopefully RG3 and Washington can salvage what is left of the season, he still is a young quarterback going thru some tough times.
