Timothy Bradley is days away from fighting Diego Chaves at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, NV and he knows the importance of bouncing back strong from his first loss.
Bradley had to readjust his mentality after the loss to Manny Pacquiao and he says that he’s learned from his mistakes. “I’ve learned that going into that fight and trying to knock him out is not the way to go. Maybe it would’ve been different if I would’ve boxed him and did the game plan.”
Timothy enters this fight relaxed and ready to put on a show for his fans. “I had a great training camp… this is one of the best training camps that I’ve had,” said Bradley. “Just putting the right pieces together, getting the right therapy, getting the right amount of work and running. It’s been fantastic.”
Timothy Bradley feels as though Chaves will present him a tough test but he’ll be able to overcome his opponent. “He’s a little more clever in the ring than like a Maidana or a Matthysse,” said Timothy. That’s extremely high praise of Chaves coming from an experienced fighter such as Bradley.
If Bradley gets past Chaves he’s going to take some time off to celebrate the birth of his child, his wife is due in March, but he knows that he’ll want a marquee fight when he returns.
A Marquez rematch may be on the horizon but another name is Canelo Alvarez. “Bring it… Bring it man. From 140 (lbs, 147, 154; those 3 weight classes right there. I’m willing and game to fight any of those guys.” Bradley followed that with this strong statement, “I want to fight the best fighters in the world.”
Bradley will have his chance to prove that he once again deserves to be mentioned amongst the best fighters in the world when he takes on Diego Chaves this Saturday, December 13th on HBO at 10 PM EST/PST.
