Anderson Silva is preparing for his UFC 183 fight against Nick Diaz but that isn’t stopping him from showing support for his fellow Brazilian Jose Aldo.
“Jose Aldo already said what we needed to hear.,” Silva told Globo. “We have the king, the prince and the joker. Enough said. I think (McGregor) is a cool guy, but Jose Aldo is way cooler than him. I’m Jose Aldo’s brother, I’m with Jose Aldo until I die. Beat him up a lot, Jose Aldo. Please, beat him up a lot.”
Silva made it clear that he has nothing against McGregor but he stood by his backing of Aldo.
“You can’t compare,” said Silva. “He doesn’t have a chance against Jose Aldo. How would he do this? Have you seen Aldo’s last fight? Do you think this kid will handle what that other kid (Mendes) handled against Aldo? Never..”
The Jose Aldo vs Conor McGregor fight has been tentatively scheduled for UFC 187 in Las Vegas. It’d be safe to say that Silva will probably be in attendance to support Aldo.
