New York Jets outside linebacker Jermaine Cunningham has been arrested and accused of spreading sexual images and illegally carrying a handgun in his vehicle according to reports.
Cunningham was arrested Dec. 29 after police responded to a 911 call from someone near his apartment, said Mark Spivey, spokesman for the Union County Prosecutor’s office.
Details of the events were sketchy, but the linebacker was book after police found a firearm in his Audi. Cunningham was charged with third-degree invasion of privacy.
Cunningham also was charged with criminal mischief for the destruction of clothing, NJ.com reports. Cunningham miss the season with torn Achilles.
