Settled down there cowboy, I don’t think the question was meant to be an offensive one, but it appears Kevin Durant took some type of way.
KD wasn’t voted into the All-Star game, which is not a big deal because it is a fan vote. It isn’t like fans are the most rational people in the world, plus he was hurt at the beginning of the year. It happens and it isn’t like anyone thinks he is garbage now, but just in case you wanted to know your all-star votes mean nothing to him.
Durant wouldn’t let the disappointment of being excluded discount what he has done or distract him from his primary objective of helping the Oklahoma City Thunder complete the grinding, uphill climb into the Western Conference playoff picture.
“I don’t need an all-star vote to validate me as a player,” Durant said Friday. “It’s my eighth year in the league. I’ve been on all-star teams before. I’ve done things in this league. I don’t need that to validate me.”
KD says if he isn’t selected as a reserve he will be at the beach with his toes out. That was probably TMI, but I digress.
