Wow, this is huge news. The St. Louis Rams are set to be no more if the owner has it his way. St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke plans to build an NFL stadium in Inglewood, California, as the Hollywood Park Land Company announced Monday.
According to reports, Kroenke plans to move the team regardless of the NFL’s consent.
The St. Louis Post-Dipatch reported Monday’s that the St. Louis mayor’s office said it won’t be leveraged by the Los Angeles proposal.
“They mayor thinks we should … not get into a bidding war with Los Angeles,” Jeff Rainford, the chief of staff for Mayor Francis Slay, told the newspaper. “A National Football League Franchise does have value, and we should want one, but let’s use some common sense.
