Ian Rapoport of NFL.com is reporting that Russell Wilson will become the highest paid quarterback in the NFL whenever he and the Seahawks sit down.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports, via sources involved in the situation, Russell Wilson is expected to become the NFL’s highest-paid quarterback when the Seahawks sign him to a long-term extension in the coming offseason.
Wilson has been sports biggest bargain since 2012, producing a Super Bowl despite making under $1 million each season he’s been in the league.
That will no longer be the case for the Seahawks who will likely pay Wilson upwards of $22 million a season, topping Aaron Rodgers five-year, $110 million contract.
