With the NBA dunk contest, 3-point shootout, celebrity game and NBA All-Star game all being nationally televised this weekend, a lot of NBA community service events go unnoticed. LeBron James and Stephen Curry continue to do their part by using their platform to give back to the kids.
The NBA FIT basketball clinic was one of many events planned by the NBA to reach one million New York City youth.
“It’s great for me to be here. We appreciate you guys. You guys keep us motivated to do what we do on the court, so we appreciate you guys. I’m happy to be here,” said LeBron.
LeBron admitted to being a little tired after flying in after last nights loss to Chicago Bulls but there were no signs of that once was surrounded by kids.
“I’d give up all my time to be with these kids.”
