It has never been Peyton Manning’s style to keep the world guessing as to what his future holds, and this year will be no different.
As Chris Mortensen reports, that decision could come as early as this coming week.
Manning’s decision will be based on the fact that the Bronco’s have cleaned house by parting ways with both coordinators, as well as Head Coach John Fox.
Fox landed on his feet becoming the new coach in Chicago, and has brought his offensive coordinator Adam Gase along for the ride. Defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio has bolted for division rival Oakland.
Gary Kubiak and staff, who Manning has reportedly been ensured of a smooth transition to Kubiak’s system, takes over after a brief stint in Baltimore as coordinator, preceded by his tenure as Head Coach of the Houston Texans.
Manning also still needs to pass a team physical to ensure his contract for next season, if he were to return. The physical appears to be the biggest hurdle as Manning is coming off a torn quad. which he suffered towards the end of the season.
We look forward to seeing whether or not one of the games greatest quarterbacks will return for a “farewell” season.
