It has really been a tough year for NBA All-Stars. It seems that every week another player is forced to back out of the All-Star game due to an injury and the list maybe be getting longer. Kobe Bryant, Blake Griffin, Dwyane Wade and Anthony Davis have all announced they will miss the game and now Jimmy Butler is a big question mark.
Butler will miss tonight’s game verses the Cleveland Cavaliers and is questionable for Sunday’s All-Star game due to a right shoulder strain. Butler suffered the injury during Sunday’s game verses the Orlando Magic and re-aggravated it in Tuesday’s win over the Sacramento Kings.
“If he can [play in the All-Star Game], he’ll participate,” said coach Thibodeau. “I guess we have to wait until then… hopefully [the shoulder injury] will be short term.”
