The L.A. Clippers have been without star forward Blake Griffin for several weeks. Griffin has been recovering from a staph infection in his elbow and could return to action later this week. Griffin’s diagnosis was handed down on February 8th and surgery was required.

Coach Doc Rivers added:
“He’s going full-tilt now and that’s good. I’m not even sure what that means not being there, but I know he’s working out and that’s all you can hope for right no. So that’s a good sign.”
The Clippers are in the middle of a tight playoff race. They are currently the 5th seed in the west with a 40-21 record. Griffin was averaging 22.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.1 assist per game before his injury, stats the Clippers miss in their lineup. The Clippers face the Golden State Warriors on Sunday.
