Freddie Roach has seen a lot of being matches and he’s probably forgotten more boxing than I’ll ever know, but I can’t agree with him saying that the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight will be better on May 2nd than it would’ve been 5 years ago.
I feel as though both fighters were in their prime 5 years ago. They may still be the best two boxers on the planet but their skills can’t hold a candle to what they had 5 years ago. The sheer quickness, punch speed, accuracy, volume (Pacquiao), defense (Mayweather) and pace would’ve been incredible to watch.
Roach must favor a slow and methodical pace.
