Skip strikes again!
The past few years we’ve seen Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith throw on their boxing analyst hat and talk about Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao, while ignoring other boxing matches/news. Now that the fight is announced the duo is now self proclaimed “face of media” for the event and that gives Skip Bayless the hubris to proclaim that he played a small part in bringing this fight to fruition.
I’m going to say that Skip has officially went off of the deep end.
As members of the media we have a certain amount pull and we do have a have influence on public perception but to think that you can ever reach the level in which you sway the best athletes in the world and their decisions is asi-nine, asi-ten, asi-eleven.
Floyd signed the contract because Floyd wanted to sign the contract and more so because the money made sense. No one in boxing history has been guaranteed $120 million for a fight. 5 years ago that type of money wasn’t on the table.
Someone break the news to Skip Bayless, he’s not as important as he thinks he is.
