I can understand Marcus Mariota’s mindset enter the NFL Draft. The Heisman Trophy winner is saying all the right things, and simply just wants to play.
NFL reportedly want Mariota to be more the like the on-field Jameis Winston — brash and full of confidence.
In a recent interview with the Buccaneers’ website, Mariota said “being the overall No. 1 pick wasn’t a huge deal to him.”
According to Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report, “more than a few teams” have frowned upon Mariota’s response, and his laid back attitude to the whole process.
Just passing along. Don't blame messenger: more than a few teams not happy Mariota said he doesn't care if he goes No. 1 overall.

This is the time of the draft process where execs and scouts just want the process to be over. A lot of teams want to take Mariota No. 1, but you can’t pull the trigger because he’s a really nice guy.
Winston’s the man, and lets move on the with the process.
