One of the most entertaining and potentially great Final Four’s in recent history is set to tip-off in a matter of minutes.
We know who the experts picked, we know who the fans like, but now it’s time for the BSO prediction:
Michigan State vs. Duke
Michigan State has been playing really well — with Travis Trice going off like Stephen Curry at times. The Spartans will definitely have to try to make it an ugly contest. No. 7 seeds are capable of winning the title — Kevin Ollie and UConn can attest to that.
. Keep an eye on Jahlil Okafor on the block — if Izzo plays him one-on-one, expect the Chicago product to have a huge game. If Izzo doubles down on Okafor, watch for Quin Cook and Justice Winslow to have epic nights. Michigan State makes it ugly, but Duke prevails and heads to Monday night after a 70-60 win.
Wisconsin vs. Kentucky
Wisconsin has the horses and dispoition to make Kentucky nervous. The Badgers have thought about this moment for almost a year.
he Badgers are one of the best offensive basketball teams in the country, and will make Kentucky work on defense — while remaining efficient.
Bo Ryan’s goal will be to slow the game down in a similar way to what Notre Dame did against Kentucky last week, trying to limit possessions and simply out-gun Kentucky. Making those shots — is typically the most difficult part against Kentucky, which holds teams to a field-goal percentage –10 points below the national average. Sam Dekker and POY, Frank Kaminsky will have to have awesome games just to keep it close.
Kentucky is playing for history and won’t falter.
