Paul Pierce had a throwback performance, scoring 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting in a 93-86 overtime win for the Wizards.
The performance by the former Finals MVP came in the wake of some pregame trash talk between Pierce, Raptors fans and GM Masai Ujiri.
Today during his session with the media Raptors backup point guard, Greivis Vasquez was asked about Pierce and his game one performance.
Vasquez harped on Pierce’s penchant for showing up in big games — dating back to his days at Kansas. Paul Pierce was dubbed ‘The Truth’ for a reason.
