The NBA Draft is quickly approaching (June 25th), so now is the crucial time for young guns to distinguish themselves and prove their determination for success.
UK big man Karl Anthony-Towns is well aware of this. It’s tough to stand out when you’re declaring your eligibility along with 6 other Wildcat teammates, though. Towns wanted to be sure that his time in Kentucky would not soon be forgotten, and thought, like many athletes do, that he should thank the city and it’s fans for their support.
The difference comes when you consider that Towns hand wrote multiple letters, and jam-packed them with great humility and heartfelt messages, before posting them to his IG account. This didn’t seem like a cheap ploy but rather a kid who was extremely appreciative for the opportunity.
The NBA is looking for talent above all else, but showing them you’re not a heartless robot can only help your draft stock. This sounds like a man ready to go to war for which ever city drafts him. Check out the letters posted below.
