Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant can appreciate good guard play with the young crop of guards in James Harden, Steph Curry and Russell Westbrook. Wednesday, Bryant stated his opinion on the 2014-15 NBA Most Valuable Player.
“That’s a tough call, man,” Bryant said. “You’ve got James, who’s been playing consistently all season and Steph, who’s been doing phenomenal things.”
That’s a tough call for me, but I would have to say James.”
Like Kobe said, either way you go this highly controversial debate and the closest NBA MVP race in recent memory. With mainstay LeBron James, who is the perennial MVP in recent seasons (2009, 2010, 2012, 2013) this will be the second consecutive season in which King James isn’t adding to his trophy collection.
Sportswriters and NBA Media submitted their ballots on April 14, just over 2 weeks ago.
And with everyone eagerly awaiting for the announcement, Bryant is leaning toward James Harden.
