Sometimes a certain illness can strike regardless of how well you take care of your body. Cardinals star cornerback Patrick Peterson admitted to the Arizona Republic that he’s diabetic.
“I am a diabetic,” the top-tier cornerback told The Arizona Republic this week. “Let’s just keep it that way.”
Peterson was apprehensive about addressing the topic despite coach Bruce Arians insinuating that it effected his play.
“Yeah, it did,” he said. “I’d rather not go into deep detail about that. It was a situation that it occurred during the season. The team docs found it and got it all under wraps.”
