Ronda Rousey was entering her match against Bethe Correia with a chip on her shoulder but now that chip has turned into a boulder.
Correia spoke to Combate about the August 1st fight and she made an ill-natured joke about Ronda killing herself.
“I would give her a rematch so she wouldn’t cry so much,” Correia told Combate about the plan if she beats Rousey at UFC 190 in August. “She can’t handle pressure. I will give her the opportunity to try and get the belt back. Please don’t kill yourself – don’t commit suicide, because I will give you the rematch.”
If you were unaware, Ronda’s father committed suicide when she was 8 years old and she didn’t find Bethe’s comment funny at all.
It’ll be interesting to see if Ronda can destroy Bethe in under 10 seconds… I’m not exaggerating. This fight just became personal and that’s a very bad thing for Bethe.
