Jorge Posada: ‘A-Rod Don’t Deserve to be in Hall of Fame’

Retired New York Yankees great, catcher Jorge Posada had some harsh words about former teammates Alex Rodriguez on CBS ‘This Morning.

“I don’t think it’s fair,” Posada told “CBS This Morning” on Wednesday. “I really don’t. I think the guys that need to be in the Hall of Fame need to be a player that played with no controversy.”

One thing that ticked off Posada was Rodriguez winning the American League MVP in 2003, when he finished third that year.

“I was almost there,” said Posada, who finished third in the voting behind A-Rod and Carlos Delgado. “You know what could’ve happened if … you know, it’s tough. It’s really tough.”

Posada has a huge gripe about losing out on that award, he posted career highs with 30 home runs and 101 RBIs, and did it with no enhancement drugs or steroids. Rodriguez then a Texas Ranger, won the award by belting 47 home runs and drove in 118 RBIs.

The 17 year Yankee was asked if either A-Rod or the ‘Rocket’ Roger Clemens should be in the Hall of Fame,

“No.” When asked whether he resents players who didn’t play clean, Posada said, “Yeah.”

The hate never ends for the Alex Rodriguez.
