Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick decided to skip offseason workouts with hopes of working out his contract situation but he has changed his mind just a little. The Cowboys drafted cornerback Byron Jones with their first-round pick which could have caused mixed feeling for Scandrick who has played as the lead dog of the cornerbacks for the past few seasons.
According to Clarence Hill, Scandrick is temporarily ending his holdout.
Breaking news: CB Orlando Scandrick has temporarily ended his boycott and is in town meeting with the Cowboys about his contract situation.

The Cowboys have been hesitant go give Scandrick a new deal less than two years after extended his contract once before back in 2013, but the Cowboys and their defensive backs are in an odd situation. Cornerback Brandon Carr is the highest paid but maybe the biggest underachiever. Morris Claiborne was drafted in the first-round of the 2012 draft after the Cowboys moved up 8 spots to land their guy, but has missed lots of action since draft day due several injuries. Scandrick has played well and has been the leader of the secondary and in my eye should be in line for a raise. After drafting Jones, not picking up Claiborne’s 5th-year option, Carr being linked to rumors of release, I don’t blame Scandrick at all for using the only leverage he has, holding out, to force contract talks.
