I’m not sure how big an ego ESPN president John Skipper has, but he just poked Bill Simmons back in a major way.
Simmons is out at ESPN when his contract expires in September, and a mutual parting of the ways is starting to take the shape of a firing.
Simmons has been a constant critic of Roger Goodell, which is acceptable as long as there isn’t any name calling. James Andrew Williams believes that Simmons made his bed when he questioned the commissioners guts — with a less endearing phrase.
"Lack of testicular fortitude," (On Godell) via @dpshow — This was tipping point for @BillSimmons future with @espn

Is this about the Disney brand or Skipper tiring of Simmons put ESPN on the spot?
Only time — and Simmons sit down with an interviewer to be name — will tell.
