Novak Djokovic is doing one hell of a job at defending his #1 WTP ranking. Today he did the unthinkable and handed 9-time French Open champion Rafael Nadal his second ever loss on the French clay. Djokovic defeated Nadal in straight sets, in a near perfect performance as he basically dismantled his biggest rival. Nadal entered Wednesday’s match with a 70-1 record at the French Open and it looked as if this was going to be an epic match after a near 70 minute first set that resulted in a 7-5 win for Djokovic. The next two sets would not be nearly as taxing for the Serbian, who won 6-3 and then 6-1. Djokovic will now advance to the semi-final where he will play the Brit Andy Murray.
