The St. Louis Cardinals found themselves in a “stinky situation” over the weekend while visiting the Los Angeles Dodgers. The visitors dugout at Dodger Stadium was taken over by four skunks. The skunks were trapped underneath the photographer stand inside the visitors’ dugout.

According to Jim Hayes, the skunk problems have lingered around Dodger Stadium before but usually the skunks don’t spray. Just the thought of being trapped in the dugout with four skunks that could release their powerful stay kept the Cardinals on edge as they watched most of the game from the railing.
Fresh salmon was set out as bait to remove the skunks after the game as the Cardinals stayed far away.

Maybe the skunks were put there by the Dodgers. If so, it didn’t bother the Cardinals enough as they were able to pull out a win 2-1 scoring both runs in the eight inning.
