Terrell Owens is always in great shape, so of course he’s going to say that he can still carve up NFL defensive backs. During a recent appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, T.O. made it clear that not only is he still in great shape, but he could still make an NFL comeback, if the right opportunity presented itself.
“I’m ready to go right now,” Owens said. When asked by Eisen if he could play every snap, Owens replied, “I’m not gonna say it’s full game, but I could give you at least 75 percent of the game.
“I haven’t officially retired,” he continued. “Given the right opportunity, I know I could still play.”
Owens last meaningful season was back in 2010 with the Cincinnati Bengals — where he caught 72 passes for 983 yards and nine touchdowns that season. Now, 41 — T.O. says, “I know I’m one of those guys that could really defy the odds. I’m not your average 41 year-old.”
