I thought it would be impossible to get a bigger story than DeAndre Jordan and the Mavs, but the Cowboys never cease to fail, and here it is folks, a standoff between Dallas and Dez Bryant.
No one quite understands why Dallas is holding out on Dez. He is one of the leagues best receivers and easily one of the top 10 NFL players, so why not pay the man? Dez seems to be wondering the same thing, and until he receives his money, he refuses to participate in anything Dallas related. Dallas apparently had no idea this was even an option because earlier EVP Stephen Jones informed Ed Werder that Dez never threatened to miss camp or games:
#Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones in a text denies @DezBryant has threatened to miss training camp, regular-season games

Dez confirmed two hours later something a little different….
As much as I love football…on my beautiful babies.. I apologize #cowboynation but I will not be there if no deal #fact

So, who’s really telling the truth here? It seems like it would be a simple plan… pay the league’s best receiver. Dallas knows Dez Bryant in and out, they aren’t stupid. They know exactly what they’re doing and it looks like they will call his bluff.
