The L.A. Lakers aren’t done trying to acquire assets, and are reportedly one of a few teams interested in acquiring Brendan Haywood from the Cavs.

Haywood’s contract becomes guaranteed in a few weeks, and the team that acquires him will likely release him, saving $10 million in salary cap space.
Haywood is likely to retire if waived according to reports.
