Tigers Place David Price and Others On Trade Block

The Detroit Tigers are 3 games below .500 and have struggled to get wins since Miguel Caberea went down with injury. Expectations are high for the team that started the season 11-2 and were expected to be contenders all season. Now general manager Dave Dombrowski has informed teams that all upcoming free agents are on the trade block. This includes David Price who has been one of the bright spots in the Tigers pitching struggles.

Last off-season the Tigers lost Max Scherzer to the Nationals when the two parties could not agree to a deal. It appears that the Tigers learned their lesson and prefer to get something rather than lose free agents in the off season. Dombrowski insist that the Tigers will only make a Deal that works for the team.

The Tigers still have a glimpse of hope for a wildcard spot. Maybe these shake ups to the roster will shoot some life into the team.

“We’re only going to make a trade if we think it makes sense for us…But we think it gives us a chance to restock our club.”

David Price, Yoenis Cespedes, Joakim Soria, Alex Avila, Alfredo Simon and Rajai Davis are all free agents this off-season.
