Washington Redskins tight end Niles Paul will miss the entire 2015-16 NFL season due to ankle fracture dislocation against the Cleveland Browns in their NFL Preseason opener.
Paul and Redskin tight ends were injury hobbled throughout last season, and lose a key offensive weapon.
Redskins Head Coach Jay Gruden spoke on the loss of Paul.
“A huge loss for us,” head coach Jay Gruden said following the game. “He’s a great player and a great leader.”
Luckily for the Redskins Jordan Reed is a more than capable starter, and is a favorite target for any quarterback whether it’s Robert Griffin III, Kirk Cousins, and Colt McCoy throwing the football.
Hopefully this is the only Redskin player to be hurt this year.
