Pacquiao isn’t good at lying, so every once in a while the truth comes out of his mouth and then his team has to go back and correct the lie.
Pacquiao knows his shoulder wasn’t hurt that badly and when asked about he proceeded to say he wasn’t going to rehab, just swimming in the salt water and that had healed him. He also said GOD had a hand in the healing process.
With several lawsuits pending about this, Freddie Roach had to step in and try to clean this mess up.
During a recent interview with the Philippine Star, Pacquiao claimed the shoulder was healed with “salt water” and praying to God. That story certainly raised eyebrows with the critics who felt the injury was minor.
According to Roach, Pacquiao was just “joking around” and he’s actually seeing a doctor and going through rehab on a daily basis.
“Well the thing is, he’s in the Philippines [and] he’s got a doctor there. The doctor tells me that he’s doing the rehab every day, so the thing is….he’s not just going to go in the ocean and God’s going to fix it,” Roach told BoxingScene.com.
Other reports back up Pacquiao’s claim that he isn’t go to rehab, even Bob Arum was mad at him for not going to rehab.
They just can’t get their lies straight.
