Former Boise State and Baylor football player Sam Ukwuachu was sentenced to six months in county jail and 10 years felony probation on Friday for sexually assaulting a former Baylor women’s soccer player in his apartment nearly two years ago.
Ukwuachu was found guilty of sexual assault by a Texas jury on Thursday.
The judge sentenced Ukwuachu to felony probation for 10 years, placed him in the county jail for 180 days and 400 hours of community service

The jury recommends that Sam Ukwuachu be sentenced to 8 years in prison but that the sentenced be probated.

Ukwuachu transferred to Baylor from Boise State in 2013 after he was kicked off the Broncos for undisclosed reasons.
