A Fisherman survived a 15 minute shark attack at Gaviota State Beach in California this past weekend. The fisherman Mark McCracken saw the shark after rowing out about 1/2 mile off shore. Mark fought off the shark by hitting it repeatedly with his paddle. Then row back to shore, he explained the incident below
“It hit the back of my kayak twice and I turned around to see it. I couldn’t tell if he was biting or if he was head-butting it but soon as I saw it I just started going at him with the paddle…The shark followed me all the way into about three feet of water. Even after I got out of my kayak and made it to the beach he was sitting right there…it was pretty creepy.”
These sharks are insane. They are coming for blood.
