This signing makes a lot of sense.

James Jones will be a nice substitute for the Packers with Jordy Nelson out. Jones found himself looking to head back home after being released by the Giants earlier this week. Jones spent 7 years with the Packers and grabbed 14 touchdowns in 2012.
I’m sure Aaron Rodgers co-signed on this move. Without Nelson I have wondered how effective would Randle Cobb be being “the guy”. Now with Jones on the roster, it should open things up for Cobb again in a similar fashion to what Nelson did for him last season. The Packers are expecting young wideout Davante Adams go step up this year and with a balanced attack from Rodgers and Eddie Lacy, the Packers will still be a force to be reckoned with this year.
