When you think of GGG you think of a knockout artist and someone who is willing to take a punch to throw a punch.
What you saw against David Lemieux should make people very afraid. What you saw was still the devastating puncher, but you also so a great boxing performance.
GGG is known for a good jab, but he display a surgical jab that landed more like a straight left hand that snapped David Lemieux’s head back from the opening bell until the ref stopped the fight.
Besides the jab, GGG showed excellent defense. Lemieux was only able to land 27% of his punches and 89 punches overall. When your opponent is only landing 27%, you are landing 51% and 58% of your power punches, this type of outcome is inevitable.

Lemieux complained about the stoppage, but he was wincing in pain and looking at the ref for help. So what is next for GGG?
The logical move would the winner of Canelo-Cotto, but I have serious doubts Cotto would fight him if he beat Canelo, but I do believe Canelo would fight him in a heartbeat. That would be a magnificent fight because they both have iron chins and want to KO whoever is in front of them.
Andre Ward name gets brought up, but Ward who rarely fights, seems like he wants to move up to light heavyweight, making a fight between GGG an impossibility.
But, wherever the Big Drama Show goes action will follow.
