Stephen A. Smith and other thought it was outrageous, that Kobe Bryant came in at No. 93 on ESPN’s annual player ranking.
There is one person that could really care less, and that is Bryant himself.
“I don’t need to defend that [ranking]. Nobody does, really.”
Pressed on what he thought of the ranking, Bryant said, “Please don’t ask me about silly stuff like that.”
Last season Bryant was ranked 40 on the list — and reacted the way we would expect — calling such a ranking “laughable.”
“I’ve known for a long time [that] they’re a bunch of idiots,” Bryant said last October, referring to the ranking as “silly” and “laughable.”
One of the top-10 players ever, Bryant should just get an automatic top-ten ranking every season.
