Things aren’t looking to good for Marshawn Lynch headed into their Week 4 Monday night matchup against the Detroit Lions. Lynch missed a large portion of last week’s game with a hamstring injury which caused him to need an MRI. With this week’s game approaching, Lynch is listed as a game-time decision after his MRI didn’t come back completely clean.
“He had [an MRI] last week, and nothing showed up,” Carroll said. “And then after the game, he aggravated his hamstring in a different area than anything that he had felt the week before. It happened on that play where he caught the ball on fourth down and he got a little something. So we checked it out, and there were some findings. So he’s working hard on trying to get it back.”
In Lynch’s absence, rookie running back Thomas Rawls carried the load. He finished the game with 16 carries for 104 yards. Fantasy football owner might want to snatch up Rawls as quick as possible if he is available. He played well while in actions and hamstring issues are often lingering, Lynch could be one play away from missing extended time.
